The 9th RENPOWER MAGHREB will be fully dedicated to Morocco, a leader among Maghreb countries in driving the energy transition forward.
With vast offshore wind and solar resources, Morocco has set ambitious targets to generate 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and 80% by 2050. As part of this mission, the country is reducing its reliance on coal by halting select coal-based projects and expanding natural gas usage—a cleaner energy source—to lay the groundwork for a future hydrogen-based economy.
The conference agenda will cover critical drivers of Morocco’s decarbonization and its Just Energy Transition plan.
Topics include regulatory frameworks, project execution, technology innovations, green hydrogen, energy storage, off-grid solutions, rural electrification, and financing mechanisms.
The event will feature four main sessions and four special presentations, offering a day-filled with in-depth presentations, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities.
Held annually at year-end, RENPOWER MAGHREB will showcase Morocco’s recent accomplishments in renewable energy and outline the next steps and commercial opportunities ahead.
Key areas of focus will include utility-scale renewables, offshore wind, advanced solar technologies, agrivoltaics, green hydrogen, energy storage (BESS & ESS), decarbonization, and financing.
Morocco invites active engagement from investors, developers, technology innovators, and consultants across these sectors.
Join us at RENPOWER MAGHREB 2024 in Rabat for valuable insights into Morocco’s renewable energy goals and the emerging opportunities in energy storage and green hydrogen!
