We are very pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Tunisia Renewable Energy & Power Infrastructure Investors Conference which is firmly scheduled to take place in Tunis on December 13 at the Concorde Hotel les Berges du Lac.
The continuing purpose of this timely informative and networking event is to attract new investors/developers in this field and to promote further cooperation between the financing, investment and technology sectors.
Tunisia has large capacities of renewable energy projects in the pipeline. The country is aiming to offer 1GW of its renewable energy for interested developers for the period 2017-2020 and planning to achieve 4.7 GW of renewable energy installed by 2030. The Tunisian government will launch its first public auction for renewable energy. About 70 MW of solar energy and 140 MW of wind energy will be distributed with long-term purchase contracts – 10 MW for each solar energy project and 30 MW for each wind energy project. The auction will be the first of what is expected to be several renewable energy auctions over the next few years.
The program, consisting of 4 main sessions, is focusing this year on:
- Tunisia’s renewable energy landscape in motion – institutional framework and regulation
- Tunisian renewable energy and energy efficiency – strategic options going forward
- International cooperation and developments of the RE sector – the way ahead
- Financing sustainable energy and power infrastructure in Tunisia
