Euroconvention Global is pleased to announce: RENPOWER PERU – The Renewable Energy & Power Infrastructure Investors Conference, scheduled to take place in the capital city of Lima on 21 March 2018.
2018 promises to be a fruitful year for renewable energy in Peru, with new renewable energy auctions expected to take place this year. Since 2009 Peru has held renewable-energy auctions for grid connected generation and for off-grid electrification and there have been 4 successful government energy auctions favoring solar, wind and mini-hydros projects.
As the renewable energy sector in Peru is on the move, this event will bring together policy makers, project developers, manufacturers, service providers and consultants from Europe, USA, South East Asia and LATAM countries. The key stakeholders will be attending and thus available for meetings with the delegates during the several networking moments built into the program.
The conference will focus on the contribution of renewable energy technologies for the electrification of the country, in line with Peru’s Minister of Energy and Mines plan to reach the 100% target of rural electricity coverage by 2021. Such target will need an estimate investment of $1.1 bn in transmission lines, rural electric systems, and PV solar panels.
During the one-day conference, participants will discuss and assess investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including the on- and off-grid markets as well as energy efficiency developments. The agenda will feature several interventions on financing and the role of the main institutions, multilaterals and bi-laterals, private sector, financiers involved in co-funding the development of renewable energy projects.
