A Decade Empowering North Africa’s Energy Future – RENPOWER MAGHREB – 10th Anniversary Edition
Spotlight on Tunisia’s Clean Energy & Power Market Transformation

For ten years, Renpower Maghreb has been more than a conference. It has become a community where leaders, experts and visionaries connect, exchange ideas and build partnerships that continue to shape the region’s energy transition

The 2025 edition brings together key voices from Tunisia and across the region to explore the country’s 2030–2050 renewable energy roadmap, highlighting solar and wind expansion, energy storage, green hydrogen and the creation of a resilient energy hub linking Africa and Europe.

Date: 04 of December
Time:  09:00 – 18:30 hrs
Venue: Tunis, Tunisia (in-person)

Tunisia is taking bold steps toward its net zero vision, aiming for 35% of electricity generation from renewables by 2030 and full decarbonization by 2050.
This transformation depends on strengthening the national grid, improving energy efficiency and developing green hydrogen, supported by international financial and technical partnerships.

A new generation of large-scale solar and wind projects is already reshaping the country’s energy landscape.
The 130 MW solar PV plant in Gafsa by Voltalia and the 240 MW Tataouine Solar PV Park 3 are among several developments moving forward.
These projects, together with others awarded through the 2022 tender rounds, are scheduled for construction between 2025 and 2026 and reflect Tunisia’s growing attractiveness for renewable investment.

Looking ahead, Tunisia is laying the foundations for regional energy integration and future export potential.
The landmark ELMED interconnection, a 200 km 600 MW high-voltage direct current submarine cable linking Tunisia and Italy, will enable the exchange of clean electricity between North Africa and Europe and reinforce Tunisia’s position as a regional energy hub.

The Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy continues to drive investor confidence through recent solar, wind and battery energy storage system tenders that have drawn strong participation.
New rounds are expected soon, creating fresh opportunities for local and international players to contribute to Tunisia’s renewable expansion.
